We love this place!! It’s been a family tradition to pick up one of their cakes for birthdays, and it never disappoints. I also enjoy checking out their seasonal offerings—there’s always something new to try, the blueberry mango cheesecake is delicious! I recently had the turkey pistachio pesto sandwich, and the pesto was so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend it! The takeout staff are incredibly attentive, always making sure I was helped. Truly great customer service!
Been visiting for nearly 30 years! Does not get old. Look for standard and some no standard cakes. Check both cake counters. Spread sampler with bread left an impression still fresh after 25 years. Sit upstairs on a sunny day to enhance your experience, surrounded by smells wafting up as you let your eyes waver down to the crisp salads & stash of breads and sip signature lattes with a chocolaty slice.
Cafe Latte is a well loved institution in the twin cities. They are most famous for their tres leche (so many different flavors) that is to die for. It is so good. It costs a pretty penny but I still keep going back because it is that good. They also have nice solid coffee and I love that they are open later so its a great spot if you prefer cake and coffee instead of going to a bar. The vibe is very casual and lively - kind of like an upscale cafeteria. Be aware that sometimes the line gets astronomically long, especially on weekdays. I've never eaten a proper meal there but I hear it is also good. Enjoy!
I got the spread sampler, pretty good and unique. I couldn't eat it all, lots of spread. Would be fun to share. Wild rice soup too, delicious as expected. A guy walked into a windows thininking it was an exit, which was hilarious.
The woman working the dessert counter between 9-10 pm tonight was extremely nice. She let my daughter pick out her specific cupcake and I just wanted to say thank you. We love coming here as a family to have cake and coffee. Everyone works very hard here and even during busy times the lines move really fast.
I've been here a couple times and would likely return, but the parking is tricky when I'm on crutches. They have lovely soups and a stellar dessert selection, also the staff seems to genuinely like their own products - that speaks for itself.
Not sure if they are open to diverse groups... they a lil short n stuffy not friendly... at least not with me, bit with the people in front of and after me... they got different aervixe... the strawberry went bad in the fridge on my cheese cake by the next day. The pie slicers are really robotic I don't get it I'm a customer , oh well. My last time there was my LAsT Time. He will get his pie from.perkins.
Oh my gosh. My husband and I loved this place. Amazing staff, great coffee, beautiful and delicious cakes, phenomenal bread. This is now a place we will make a point to stop at when we are in the Twin Cities!
The deserts are incredible and my favorite is the delicious salads! Brice the owner always makes us feel so welcomed! Peter the owner always greets me with a generous warmth!
It's popular place with many options for both food and drink. I don't personally like the pastries, but the lunch options are actually quite substantial. Drinks are always great, though the atmosphere is a bit cramped and loud during peak hours. Also expensive.
