Popped in for lunch on New Years' Day...DELICIOUS!! We've eatten at most of the Ethiopian restaurants in the Twin Cities, and Bole is far superior to them all. The food was fresh and uniquely yummy. The Sambusas 10/10, the Vegie combo 10/10, the Zil zil Tibs:11/10, the gingery tea: perfect! We loved the warm decor and the music...the waitress could have been more friendly (we were the only customers in the place, but she was completely engaged by her phone). But all in all, a hearty 5 stars! We'll be back.

Delicious, authentic Ethiopian food in a modern, cozy atmosphere. To start we ordered the veggie sambusas, and the crispy pastry was perfect. I ordered a vegetable platter, while my sister ordered a lamb dish with several sides. We most enjoyed the misir (red lentils), and potato & carrot alicha veggie dishes. The cabbage was surprisingly good; I’ve never had cabbage prepared quite like that before. Everything was really flavorful, and it was hard to stop eating! Even the side salad was dressed with something addictingly tasty.

Bole Ethiopian Cuisine truly stands out as one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Twin Cities 🌟🍽️ From the moment we walked in, everything — the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food — was exceptional. The space felt warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home 😊👏 We decided to share the Tokkumaa and the Yebeg Alicha, and we were honestly blown away by the generous portions, beautiful presentation, and incredible quality of the dishes 🍲✨ Every single bite was packed with rich flavor and perfectly balanced spices. It felt like each taste offered something new and exciting 🔥😋 Not only did we leave completely satisfied, but we also had several takeout containers filled for meals later in the week 🥡💛 We left full in every sense — both in spirit and in stomach. Huge thanks to Bole for the outstanding service and for creating such a strong sense of community. We can’t wait to come back! 🙌

I am obsessed with this place. It was a few years ago since I've had Ethiopian food. I was craving Ethiopian food so I was excited to find Bole! I've dined for lunch and had takeout for dinner. Highly recommend a visit and try: veggie sambusa (perfectly crispy), miser, lega tibs (delightful jalepeno flavor), kitfo (well done), potato and carrot alicha, tokkumaa. I advise ordering extra injera as well! All I can think about after eating Bole is the next time I'll be feasting there again!

I went to Bole for lunch this Sunday and was pleasantly surprised! I had the Kitfo and Derek Tibs (highly recommend). The Kitfo was perfectly seasoned and buttered perfectely, while the Tibs were cooked to perfection, it was tender and flavorful. Bole has definitely earned a loyal customer. Keep up the great work!

Bole Ethiopian Cuisine has some of the best food, service, and atmosphere of any of the restaurants I have been to in the twin cities. We ordered the Tokkumaa and Yebeg Alicha to share and we're absolutely amazed and shocked at the amount, presentation, an quality of the food. Each bite was unique and delicious, filled with so much flavor and spice. We left completely full, in spirit and in stomach, several take out containers filled with food for several more meals later this week. Thank you Bole for the excellent service and community.

My wife and I absolutely love this Ethiopian restaurant—it’s been our go-to spot for a long time, and for good reason. The food is always delicious and truly authentic, with flavors that keep us coming back again and again. The service is consistently top-notch, and you can really feel the pride they take in taking care of their guests. What really touched us recently was how the owner/chef went above and beyond. My wife had just graduated, and he surprised us by making a special cake just for her. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night unforgettable. If you’re looking for amazing food, great service, and a place that treats you like family, this is the spot. Highly recommended! 👌🏾🍽️🎉

Three of us met for dinner at the St. Paul location. Ordered the Tibs Combo and let the chef decide the sides. The meal was FANTASTIC! Very tasty, excellent variety of spice/flavors, and huge portions (we all took home leftovers). Staff was friendly and checked in throughout the meal. Great ambiance too.

Some of the best Ethiopian food in the Twin Cities. Everything is so flavorful. I’ve loved the combo meals that feature both kitfo and tibs, but the vegetarian and vegan options are excellent as well. Repeat customer, will be back.

I recently brought my friends, and they were just as impressed. Maintaining such consistent quality for so many years is rare—this truly is one of the best restaurants around!
