Consistently wonderful and educational. If there's food prepared and available, it's flavorful and one-of-a-kind. If you need a frozen coconut milk (ice cream - not) sandwich treat on a steamy evening, this is the place. If you want to know how to make (fill in the blank, vegan food) you could just ask Colin. Great place!

Eureka Compass Vegan Food is a gem. The owner, Colin, is also a gem...And an outstanding Baker I might add. He is creating an atmosphere of community & gathering and is compassionate about his Vegan (with some Gluten Free too!) Menu that continues to grow. I stopped in recently for the first time after learning about this NEW all Vegan restaurant and ended up taking home the MOST AMAZING scones, gluten free muffins and these veggie bagel thingys that were out of this world. Oh, and the little to go container of KALE SALAD was eaten in the car 😃 I look forward to returning this week for some more yummies.

I'm not vegan, but my wife is and she asked me to come to Eureka Compass Vegan with her for breakfast. All I heard was "vegan" and thought, "oh boy, here we go again, another place that I can't enjoy the food". WOW, was I wrong! We had the bagel balls and they were fantastic! I like donuts and this was WAY better than any donut I have ever tasted. Full of flavor and nice and warm. We bought some scones and muffins too - they didn't make it past 2pm that day. It's hard to believe that I'm saying this about a vegan place but we are definitely going back!

Cute, small place in a residential area. The guy who was there (who I presume is the owner) was very kind to us. He seems to cook something different all the time so the menu is never the same, which is fun. The grocery part was a bit empty, but we didn’t come there for groceries anyway. Food was good; I loved the croissants!

I'm sad to say that I haven't been inside the restaurant, yet. I tried to make it out there on their opening day, but was not able to make it until evening time when they had already been closed for a couple hours.. I drove by just to get a look at it, sad that I wasn't able to make it on time.I'm looking forward to trying it someday when I'm in the neighborhood.

They have a small selection of unique vegan groceries. The owner is friendly and very involved in the community. Whether you are vegan or not, this is a great place to learn more about a vegan or plant based diet.

About

Eureka Compass was a part restaurant, part vegan grocery store in Saint Paul's Hamline-Midway neighborhood. Chef-owner Colin Anderson stocked hard-to-find vegan specialty items alongside organic, scratch-made food with a rotating menu where no two recipes were ever repeated. The business has since closed.
