Though I've long been a fan of Alma's cafe, especially their grain salad, my partner and I had the opportunity to dine in Restaurant Alma last Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was kind, approachable, and knowledgeable. We chose the seasonal menu, and it did not disappoint! Our favorite items were the focaccia with turnip bruschetta and white anchovies (the presentation of which was GORGEOUS), the buckwheat rigatoni with oyster mushrooms and shaved black truffle, and the panna cotta with ginger crumble and kumquats. Additionally, we were given complimentary champagne, celery root soup with sturgeon caviar, and coconut macaroons. My partner and I are frequent consumers of fine dining content on YouTube, and this was the first time we had the opportunity to try caviar and uni, so it was a very special experience for us! We'll definitely be back. We're talking about coming back multiple times a year to try the different seasonal menus!

Beautiful cafe, in a restored brick building (? former firehouse) neighborhood in southwest Minneapolis . The staff were warm and friendly and brought our order to the table (we were given a table number). There's variety of seating with high tops, tables for two or four, and even a back room that could take a larger group. I ordered an iced latte which was served in a glass, and a fabulous "Ham Jam" breakfast sandwich. (shaved smoked ham, egg souffle, caramelized onion jam and maple Rosemary syrup on a Toasted Roll 👍 There was no problem finding seating and we able to have relaxed conversation and enjoy our meal.

Fantastic! Hustle and bustle, fast paced, yet so easy breezy... You can take a seat and order from your table or you can order at the counter and get a number for food and drink to be delivered. We went for breakfast/brunch... The cinnamon roll was wonderful, super flaky, nice flavor, great frosting! We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and shared them, I can't pick a favorite because they were both great in their own way. The Corner Store with bacon has bacon... What's not to love? Flavor was on point, egg was cooked perfectly, YUM. The Ham Jam was also amazing, nice thin sliced ham and that onion jam .. YES PLEASE! Drinks were great, I actually stopped in for the seasonal lemonade but they were out of the syrup to make it. Bummer for me, but glad I was able to try the food anyway. Definitely a nice breakfast option!

A solid expérience all around. Sangria: top notch. The best I've had in years. Guacamole: The only disappointment here. 5/10. Flavorless. It tasted like it had just come out of the fridge instead of being freshly made. Real avocado chunks. And the was avocados were fresh. But it was too cold to have any flavor. On the other hand, be homemade tortillas that came with it were delightful: crispy, rich but very light. Bison empanada: 10/10. Very flavorful and juicy meat. The empanada was crisp, probably the best I've had in a decade, if not in my life. Plantains: 10/10. Excellent. Crispy outside, thoroughly cooked inside. Pork belly tacos: 8/10. Highly recommended

Really fantastic dining experience. We decided to try the course menu and it turned out to be a great choice. One of us eats vegan and the other vegetarian, and both of us were really happy with how everything turned out. The kitchen clearly put a lot of care into the dishes and didn’t treat the plant-based options as an afterthought. Each course had great flavor and the ingredients tasted really fresh and high quality. The service was also excellent throughout the night — attentive without hovering and really helpful when explaining the dishes. The atmosphere was another highlight. It felt upscale and polished but still comfortable enough to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall we left really impressed and completely satisfied. It’s always nice to find a fine dining spot that puts this much effort into vegan and vegetarian options.

I loved the atmosphere. It felt cozy and relaxing. Not loud at all. I had the Corner store sandwich and can hardly describe how good it was. The egg souffle was a great way to add egg without it falling apart. The smoked bacon was perfect and there was just the right amount of cheese. Perfect toasted bun! Ill go back for sure. Not a fan of QR code ordering because it asks for too much information but you can order up front.

I can’t rave about this restaurant enough! We had a fantastic dinner (surprise standout being the Lemon & Crab Orzo—simple, but amazing!) and had room for a modest, but nuanced and flavorful desert as well. Come for the food—it’s seasonal, fresh, subtle and lovely—but return for the service, which was so on point that I’d send many a Michelin star restaurant staff here to learn about real “hospitality”. We had impeccable service from Esther, Belle, and everyone who engaged with us, which was truly much of the staff. Fantastic experience, and one for the “must recommend and return” list for certain!

We went here for our anniversary and they were able to accommodate their 6-course tasting menu to be entirely vegan. That is very special to us because as vegans we don't have many opportunities for a fine dining experience. The food was seriously mind blowing. Miles, our server, was also incredible, and took the time to describe each of the dishes and was really attentive.

Went to Alma with my mom to celebrate my birthday and had an incredible experience - everything from the food/drinks to the service and atmosphere was impeccable. The staff was so friendly and hospitable, and they went out their way to make sure my birthday dinner was special. One of my new favorite restaurants in the city!
