We've tried many different sandwiches and burgers and all have been great! They're nice about letting you customize to get your order exactly the way you want it. The food is consistently well prepared. Some favorites are the rodeo burger and the fried vegan chicken sandwiches. The shoestring fries are yummy and they have a dazzling array of vegan sauces. The vegan bacon is an awesome add on to any sandwich you like! The club sandwich is a great lunch special but I wish they would branch out a little and offer things like this all the time, because some of us are rarely able to make it there during lunch hours. It's fun to have a bit of variety beyond the burgers.

I have been to Francis a few times & it keeps me wanting more each time! I have tried the cheeseburger and the chicken sandwich and loved both. The only thing that takes getting used to is that the table service is all online (ordering, payment, menus, etc.). I wish there was still someone accessible to ask questions about the menu, additional plate, menu by request, etc. Adding a comment section before ordering would be super helpful and mitigate any frustrations!

Francis Burger is a fantastic burger joint whether or not it's vegan! As an omnivore myself, I've been with my vegan kiddo a handful of times now and have yet to not enjoy a meal! All burgers I've tried, their fries, dipping sauces, and shakes are fantastic! Service can be a bit slow on the weekends when they're slammed, but that's to be expected. Plus they pay fair wages to their employees so this is a one-and-done non-tipping establishment. Highly recommend!

Francis on Lake Street is my happy place. I've been here out to dinner here with friends and family, and I often stop by myself on my way home from work when I'm burned out and exhausted, and I'm soothed and comforted by delicious food and kind servers. I love the wedge salad - how they make vegan bleu cheese is a miracle. The "cheeseburgers" of course. The Wisco old-fashioned is a very comforting cocktail, and that pickle/olive/cherry/orange garnish makes me smile every time! Last week we had lemon dusted fried cauliflower - flavorful, not too greasy, and not overly breaded, YUM. I've had many positive experiences here, and last week blew me away: I was tired from work and devastated by the ICE invasion of our city. Chatted a little with the server. My adult daughter and I enjoyed our meal, paid the tab, and as tired as I was, it was only as I was walking out the door that I realized they'd comped the meal, and I'd only paid for our drinks. Wow. An unanticipated generous act of kindness and caring in a world that is too often impersonal and brutal. I'm a loyal customer because the food is delicious and the service is so good, and I'm posting this review to say thank you. Highly recommended. (Only giving 4 stars for atmosphere because I don't care for the pink/orange neon lights.)

It’s a vegan restaurant, which you should know beforehand, then you’re good. The fried chicken tastes pretty much like chicken, which is surprising. However, the burger patty substitutes were not as great for someone who loves a good meat patty. The fries were normal I’d say. Overall good experience for being vegan. The location seems a little scetch but the parking lot makes up for it.

Such a cool place! Good vibes, awesome food! Wanted to leave some feedback where management can see it. I just ate here with a group and my friend had a dairy allergy reaction to it. She has no other food sensitivities, it's pretty distinct and it always happens right away. I definitely don't think it's intentional but I wonder if some ingredient contains dairy that y'all didn't know about? Maybe one of the breads or something more subtle. She had the milk shake and the classic chicken sandwich, plus some bites of my patty melt, for reference. Kuddos for making such an amazing place, we all loved it including her, just wanted to shine this up to y'all so you can take a second look at it if you want. Most people who eat here probably would never notice if something contained dairy, but she's an extremely reliable dairy-detector hahah

This place has the best vegan burgers in town, and they have a rare juicy lucy that is very messy and very delicious. This is the place we take our non-vegan friends and family and everybody loves the burgers. We also love the bar drinks, sides, and the option to order and pay from the table or use a server. We love the staff, so we will often order through them. In summary, this is one of our favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities.

New favorite spot after trying it out, been there 3 times already! I am not vegan and can confidently say the food beats many regular-beef burgers in the cities. Food is excellent (each burger I've tried has been wonderful and love their style of fries), staff is very approachable and knowledge of what they have to offer, and the area is kept clean along with feeling very cozy. I appreciate the tip being included on the price of the food - I support this practice and love that they do it. Do try to get a seat that faces the inside of the restaurant only because large SUVs lights in the parking lot tend to blind you.

My partner and I have both been vegan for many years now and this place absolutely rules. I feel confident that even meat lovers would be super impressed by the food and service here! We visited for dinner and the atmosphere was great, our server was so friendly and had such great recommendations, and our food was stellar (that garlic girl burger--phenomenal!!!). We're pretty new to the area still and are soooo happy to have such great vegan restaurants here and we are super excited to visit Francis again soon! We were pretty stuffed so didn't get dessert, but we saw the milkshakes that some people near us got and cannot wait to try one soon.

Thoroughly delicious! I am someone with a burger aversion trying to eat more plant based, and I went with my mom who is a burger fanatic, but averted to anything that has the word "vegan" on it. We were both enamored with the atmosphere and flavor profile of everything we got! This place really has something for everyone, and I can now confidently say that I could eat these burgers and never grow tired of them. The milkshakes were also superb, i'd highly reccomend the chai one to anyone! We also highly appreciated the welcoming enviroment and focus on social justice, as well as the kind employees. I will for sure come back again and again :)
