I usually stay with what I know. Chicken wings and egg rolls. But tonight I wanted to be a little culinary adventurous. The chicken Pho was like a party in my mouth. The infused flavors were so delightful and satisfying. My fav fish now!
The service is great, and the atmosphere was very nice. The Khao Soi had a good flavor but the portion was very small. I ordered their Crying Tiger which is a classic authentic Thai dish, and unfortunately I was VERY disappointed! The meat was grisely/tough, and the sauce was too sweet and thick, when it should have been a spicy, tangy lime sauce to go with tender slices of beef. I'll give it one more chance, because I will have to try the Tom Kha soup, to see if they can redeem themselves....I hope so!
We ordered on Uber Eats the other night, and it was so good we came in person. We had the spring rolls with shrimp and chicken, the chicken satay, and the Panang curry with shrimp. Everything was delicious, the service was friendly and excellent. We'll come back next time we are in town. :) Thank you!!!!
It broke my heart to see this place so quiet. I remember when Amazing Thailand was packed — filled with energy, laughter, and the comforting aroma of curry and spice. Today, during what used to be a bustling happy hour, there were only two tables occupied. It felt surreal at 4:30 pm And yet, the food? Still exceptional. Every dish was perfectly balanced — bold, fragrant, and full of soul. The flavors were just as I remembered: authentic, rich, and made with care. The staff was kind and attentive, even in the quiet. They deserve a full house. It’s disheartening to see what’s happened to Uptown — to see restaurants like this still showing up with quality while the city around them slips away. Support this gem. It’s more than a meal — it’s a memory, a cultural anchor, and a sign of what still can be if we care enough to show up.
My dad and I have been here twice now. Both times, our food was absolutely delicious. I took takeout for my partner and he loved his food as well. They have a wide variety of options and most dishes can be made with your preferred protein. Their level 5 could be a little hotter for me, but it is still delicious!! The flavors are wonderful.
I do love Amazing Thailand! I always get good food and good service here, and it has nice vibes. Food is definitely on the expensive side, but you get a lot of food. I always get at least 2 meals out of my order. Their takeout orders move pretty fast too, and staff is pretty good about checking in but not too often. Drinks are unfortunately way too sweet, but the food makes it worth it. Parking is not great, but you can usually find paid parking on 31st or free parking on the side streets nearby (such as Girard)
dirty plate for my 1st impression lol, not really busy on Monday memorial night, we had group of 6, but their tables are really tiny n only good for 2 people table or bar for drinks, not for big party lol, server were excellent, but the foods they cooked were not good like they put too much coconut milk to cover the curry dishes, so we couldn't even taste any red curry or green curry at all, taste only all sweet to me, also the beef was too dry n chewy, the ddep fry walleye was too dry too, outdoor tables only good for 2 people too sigh. street parking is not that easy to find, if u want party there n u have well prepare to sit in skinny tables, especially is not good for elderly handicap people either lol, anyway wish they can improve all those, otherwise this restaurant is not for us lol, good service though, foods portion is not much for that price, anyway please improve cooking etc. .... good luck
While a little on the pricy side, the flavor, atmosphere, and amazing service from Sarisa made it worth it! The laab salad was scrumptious along with the assortment of apps we got. The little patio is tough to beat as well!
We recently visited Amazing Thailand and had mixed feelings about the experience. I asked for a recommendation and was given the Thai fried rice. Unfortunately, it did not stand out and felt like a pretty basic dish, nothing exceptional or memorable. My husband ordered the Amazing Curry with a spice level of 5 out of 5, but it was not as spicy as expected. He thought it tasted good overall though. On the plus side, the outdoor seating area is very nice and made for a pleasant atmosphere.
It’s my favorite restaurant. I recommend the spring rolls🥰 and the sticky mango rice. I love it. Recently I feel they give you less food and another thing that disappointed me was they took out my favorite dish ; before I could have all the proteins in one meal but now just one and when I asked for extra protein they can’t cook it all together 😩
