The cauliflower tacos, salad, burger, and breakfast sandwich are all amazingly tasty, and the crispy tempeh burger my girlfriend got was fantastic as well. The space is beautifully painted and has a very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended to other vegans looking for delicious diner food. However, it must be said that this is not the best pick if you’re in a hurry. Service has been quite a bit slower than usual on 2 out of 3 times I’ve visited, even when there are hardly any other customers.
best all vegan restaurant MN. mac and cheese? bangs. burger? bangs. cauliflower tacos? bangs. This is probably the only all vegan restaurant I could safely take an omnivore to and them not think it sucks in the entire metro area. I'm not saying that all other vegan restaurants suck, but reverie distinctly hits like a standard omnivore restaurant where the others cater to vegan palettes (and are also good). The prices are also exceedingly reasonable considering the quality of food, the service, and the transformation of ingredients. This is one of the only vegan restaurants I have ever been to that I don't feel like I'm being had.
This was a great vegan place! I don't often search out vegan. I have no issue with veg/vegan, and a friend is hardcore vegan; so, I took them there when they were in town. This is a classic Twin Cities eclectic specialty restaurant /cafe soany of us renused to on the different neighborhoods! Went for lunch and the mock duck Korean BBQ tacos were outstanding. So much texture and the flavor of the (mock) duck was delicious; so, you don't even think about 'mock meat'. I want to note the fresh pickle were very good and great counter flavor pairing. I mean really good. The arugula side salad was perfectly dressed and a good pairing with the crunchy sweetness of the tacos. The BLT was good as well They have a very good almost all regional microbrews. But only pint pours (no half pours, I asked 😉) Counter service and they bring out to based on a table flag. It can be a little slow during peak lunch period, but it was worth the wait. Some small table seating but shared long tables make up about half the seating area. Also a counter area/bar area. Counter can help you with any questions. Very knowledgeable.
My daughter and I traveled from maine to see the MOA a month ago and heard about this place. The mac and cheese was delicious. I loved the breakfast sandwich, the biscuit was perfect. But the surprise was the chocolate beignet. That was heaven. I would fly back just for this restaurant. The art decor, atmosphere, the kind waitstaff is a perfect combination with the fabulous food to choose from. Plus it's all vegan, thank you for sharing your passion.
Visited Reverie for dinner with two kids on day 9 of a 10 day trip. It had been a day. Thankfully, Kate who took my order was an absolute lifesaver. Kate was super patient with me while I ordered for my spouse and kids and then realized I forgot to look at the menu for myself. Kate offered me some lemonade, helped me take a minute and probably prevented me from having a meltdown. I asked for a recommendation and it was amazing — the vegan chef challenge tacos as a rice bowl. The food was absolutely delicious but the customer service was above and beyond. Also, they pay their workers a living wage and are therefore a non-tipping establishment.
I wanted to try several things so got the Kimcheeze sandwich, the mac n cheese, and the potato salad. If you like tempeh and Brussels sprouts, you'll probably love the kim cheese! The mac was so flavorful, especially the mushroom bacon topping. The potato salad was quite different than I'm used to - very dill heavy & maybe something like horseradish or wasabi? I'm not sure, but it was definitely not the norm for me. I love dill though & ate it all. Can't wait to go again & try more!
Love it here! Different drinks, food and desserts. I normally like to order the cauliflower wings and tofu tacos. The mock duck tacos were delicious too. The hubby always orders the curbside burger. Outdoor patio seating and indoor. Nice spacious bathrooms.
Our organization is in town for a staff retreat. We had the pleasure of having our evening meal catered by Reverie. It was hands down the best meal we've had all week. The mock duck, smoky potato salad, and mushroom Mac and cheese were delicious. In fact, one of my colleagues said the food was obviously made with love. I agree.
Fabulous food if you enjoy vegan. Everything tastes good! Recommend the tacos, burgers, potato wedges, chips, brownies, and pudding, but you can't really go wrong. Good variety of drinks, whether you prefer with alcohol or without. Staff is super friendly, welcoming, and open to your questions and requests. Nice outdoor seating option.
Fan-frickin-tastic! The mock duck tacos were insanely good. We also loved the Berbere BBQ sandwich, and the cauliflower wings.
